Jorkens, the wily old cricketer, is faced with a new type of square cut. His house has three square bedrooms, all of different sizes. He has just bought a new carpet for the largest bedroom and has cut up its old carpet into four rectangular pieces, the smallest of which has area four square metres. He is able to use the four pieces to carpet the other two bedrooms exactly.
What is the area of the largest bedroom?

The carpet in the largest bedroom (the large square on the left) provides a square carpet for the smallest room (the lower left square) with the remaining green, yellow and blue rectangles being used to carpet the middle sized room (the lower right square):
