Sunday Times Teaser 2615 – Gunpowder, Treason and Plot

On one of the first seven days of November last year, I overheard the following conversation:

Alec:   ‘Today is the 5th’
Bill:     ‘The 5th is tomorrow’
Chris:  ‘The 5th is the day after tomorrow’
Dave:   ‘You are all wrong’
Eric:    ‘It was not the 1st Yesterday’
Frank:  ‘We have missed the 5th’

If you knew how many of these statements were true, you could then work out on which date this conversation took place.

What was that date?
