Sunday Times Teaser 2757 – Sports Quiz

In a weekly quiz running for six weeks the following footballers appeared in this order:

Gerrard, Lambert, Lampard, Rooney, Smalling, Welbeck

The following cricket players appeared in some order:

Carberry, Compton, Robson, Shahzad, Stokes and Tredwell

as did the following rugby players:

Cipriani, Launchbury, Parling, Robshaw, Trinder and Twelvetrees

In each quiz, for any two of the three players involved, their names shared just two different leters in common (although these letters might occur more than once).

List the cricketers in the order in which they appeared.
